....was the day I was supposed to take Emma in for her kindergarten orientation.
We went to a pool party instead.
Why the irresponsibility, you ask?
Because our daughter is only 5. And she loves to learn. And she's really smart. And she asks a lot of questions. And because she's still so innocent. And because she loves to help cook. And because she loves going on adventures. And because there are 31(!) kids assigned to each kindergarten teacher. And because we aren't quite ready for her learning to be limited by "school."
So, we're homeschooling.
At least for her kindergarten year. When she's six, maybe we'll change our minds :)
ps. i just realized that this post may seem judgemental to those of you who are sending your kids to regular ol' school. please don't think i'm hating on you or judging you, 'cuz i'm not. we made our decision to home school based on what would be best for our family and i certainly don't pretend to know what is best for yours :)

You got to do what works for you! And the number of kids per teacher is insane right now so I don't blame you :) Besides you taught before and honestly kindergarten is a lot about experiences and learning from them which can easily be done at home. Let us know how it goes!
